I did the Lightning Process after nearly a year and a half of having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME. My symptoms included headaches, exhaustion, stomach aches, foggy brain, anxiety and stress. The doctors were little to no help, leaving me feeling upset and frustrated, wondering what my life would be if I felt this way forever. Going into my last year of high school, everyone around me was excitedly considering which University they would attend and what their careers might be. I felt isolated and began to worry about what I would ever be able to accomplish. After months of feeling foggy headed and ill, I couldn’t even remember what it was like to feel good.
After the first day of the course, I went for a long walk on the beach, stayed up late with a big family dinner and felt like going for a run! The second and third days were just as great, the evening of the last day of the course I went to a dance class – my first proper one for a year! Partway through the third day of the course, my head was suddenly clear. I was so happy I nearly cried. Not only did I see all symptoms of CFS/ME disappear, I finally felt in control of my life. I realised that my mood and outlook on life depended only on myself, not on other factors or other people. There have been so many positive changes in all aspects of my life, and I am in control of my stress level. There have been so many applications for the LP in my life, and it is exciting to realise that I can live the life I love right now, not in the distant future.
The training was so good; I felt comfortable and safe the whole time. Everything about it made complete sense, the explanations were science-based, discussing the interlinking physical and psychological systems. Sarah was a brilliant facilitator and coach, super friendly, kind and positive. She inspired me to get the most out of the LP and make the changes I want in my life. It has now been three months since I have done the course, but it feels like much longer because I have fit so many exciting changes in my life, and every day I am unbelievably glad that I did the Lightning Process.
